Just as an ice breaker why don't we post why we became fans of the Dinger. I started following him back in 06 when this kid named Allmendinger was whooping the Champ Car boys. It was when he made the move to Nascar and ultimately Team Red Bull. He was well spoken, good with sponsors, and just overall likable. The thing though that really sold me on Dinger being the real deal were the images. Seeing him talk with guys like Jeff Gordon or Richard Petty. He wants to learn and isn't afraid to seek advice. That is what good drivers are made of.

Hey guys. I became a Dinger fan during his first NASCAR race in the truck series race at NHMS. I liked his name and seemed to be pretty good as well. I think he got a top-10. I stuck with him through the Red Bull years and Im hoping to see him get some more support at Petty Motorsports. Not going to lie though, when the rumors were spreading about Joe Gibbs being interested in him, I was excited. At least he got a ride though... Kevin

To be 100% honest when AJ broke into NASCAR I couldn't stand him. The arrogant open wheel attitude the cocky look at me mentality he showed at first turned me off from him. That changed mighty quick, I think he realized how NASCAR can make someone humble and he realized it fast. Hopefully RPM is taking the right steps to get that 44 up front every week. They can do it as a Kahne fan first I've seen what can happen if all the pieces come together. AJ has the talent let's just hope they can put it all together for him.

I was already a big Vickers fan, so I also decided to pull for AJ, hoping he'd succeed. The thing I like the most about the guy is his personality. It seems to me that a lot of drivers in NASCAR today come off pretty vanilla and AJ does the opposite. I do my best to never miss an interview. Aside from his personality, he has raw talent and ambition. There is no doubt in my mind that he can be one of NASCAR's future stars.

Howdy, all. I've been interested in AJ since he came into Cup. Just his personality, I guess. And was glad he got GEM deal last year. But, having been a Petty fan since 1964 (any other "older folks" here???), I started following more closely this year - a year in which I was not expecting much pleasure but that's a long story. Anyway, began checking in for more RP and AJ info. I've cancelled newspaper and magazine subscriptions and now get my news online. When I saw Andy's posting on the fans of Richard Petty Motorsports member board, I immediately added this site as well.
